چکیده

Model-based software prototyping enables effective construction of design tools for new system design approaches effectively in a very short time. In this paper, we show that explicit interface modeling is well suited to integrate such prototyped tools into design environments. In addition, we point out how our model-based generative approach supports evolution of prototypes very well. We present the prototyping methodology at hand of Dual Dynamics Designer a novel development tool for behavior-oriented robot software. We demonstrate how a first prototype evolved to a full-fledged design tool working as an integrated part in our robot design environment.

PREDICTION OF STATIC SOFTENING OF MICROALLOYED STEEL BY THE INTEGRATION OF FINITE ELEMENT MODEL WITH PHYSICALLY BASED STATE VARIABLE MODEL

Abstract   Recovery and recrystallization phenomena and effects of microalloying elements on these phenomena are of great importance in designing thermomechanical processes of microalloyed steels. Thus, understanding and modeling of microstructure evolution during hot deformation leads to optimize the processing conditions and to improve the product properties.   In this study, finite element...

SOFC Systems Based On An Advanced Multi-Level Simulation Framework

At Fraunhofer IKTS several stationary SOFC system prototypes for biogas usage are currently under development. The prototypes are in the 2 kW range and serve as test beds for innovative, ceramic based system components for a very deep process integration of the SOFC with the biogas generation process. All system components were developed strictly following a model based design process. This con...

Simulation and Evaluation of Urban Development Scenarios Using Integration of Cellular Automata Model and Game Theory

Urban growth is a dynamic and evolutionary spatial and social process that relates to the changes of urban spatial units and the transformation of people’s lifestyles and consequently demographic changes. Considering the urban development process as a function of land uses interactions, population structure and the strategic behavior of the agents involved in the urban development process (the ...

Towards Bidirectional Higher-Order Transformation for Model-Driven Co-evolution

In model-driven development (MDD), numerous metamodels, models, and model transformations need to be taken into account. These MDD-based artifacts—although highly interdependent—are autonomously maintained. Changes in one artifact (e.g., in a model) are not automatically reflected in other dependent artifacts (e.g., in a model transformation). The barrier for a tight integration of MDD-based ar...

Integration of artificial neural network and geographic information system applications in simulating groundwater quality

Background: Although experiments on water quality are time consuming and expensive, models are often employed as supplement to simulate water quality. Artificial neural network (ANN) is an efficient tool in hydrologic studies, yet it cannot predetermine its results in the forms of maps and geo-referenced data. Methods: In this study, ANN was applied to simulate groundwater quality ...
